5. Double Greeting Wonton House (I)

七喜小食店 is the name of this place in Chinese!

My overall score: 4.3/5
Nancy’s overall score: 4.2/5

Ordered:
-鱼香茄子饭 ($10.00) Rice with salted fish and eggplant

-X.O 酱炒四季豆 ($12.50) Green beans with X.O. sauce

-净牛腩 ($11.00) Beef brisket

HUNDREDS of items on its menu! This is one of those restaurants where you’re walking outside and you smell a wonderful aroma and follow your nose to this place. The prices are gooddddd, lots are within $9 range too.

Presentation:                    3.5/5
Pretty average like most Chinese restaurants, but that’s what keeps the costs low right 🙂

Health:                                  4/5
There’s definitely yummy vegetarian options, and with hundreds to choose from, there should be something for everyone 🙂 Food isn’t too salty or too oily. Love love.

Atmosphere/location: 4.5/5
It’s in downtown, and you know how it’s usually hard to find parking? Well -drumroll- this place HAS PARKING! The only thing that may be off-putting is that they haven’t renovated in a while. So don’t mind the decor, just look at the food!

Cost:                                  4.5/5
FILLING, YUMMY. The vegetables wasn’t too old (they tend to have a tougher bite to it if they are). Good~

Goodness.

Taste:                                4.5/5
Rice with salted fish and eggplant: Perfect combo, there were just enough salted fish to keep you wanted more and not overwhelming at all. Enough ratio of sauce to rice too. The eggplant was soft enough without that hard raw kind of center many places make it.

Green beans with X.O sauce: It’s a popular Chinese dish which uses a unique dry-frying technique to make the beans. When you eat it there’s a crisp part and a crunch to it, my favvvvv.

Beef brisket: LOOK AT THIS. This food will not make you sad, it will comfort you with warm, open arms~ Not oily at all, just enough fatty parts to have the meaty flavour caress your mouth.

Service:                              4/5
Okay so there’s a bit of a story to this: The waitress came back to say that the Chef didn’t have enough green beans to make a full size dish and asked if it was okay to do half of another vegetable. We agreed, but a little bit later she came back and said he found more beans! Ayy!! Haha. Anyways she was nice and reminded me of an aunt hehe~

Baby come back to me~

-Love Mish.
